About me
Jerry Coughter is a program director for SSTI’s TBED Community of Practice. He previously served as the founding executive director of the Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte, assistant vice president for economic development at George Mason University, and executive director of the Virginia Research & Technology Advisory Commission and the Governor’s Biotechnology Commission. Jerry holds a BS in Microbiology from Clemson University, an MS in Microbiology & Immunology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an MBA from Shenandoah University. He performed doctoral work in Innovation Policy at the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University.
