Greg Williamson is the senior venture investment director for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), where he is responsible for the state’s early-stage entrepreneur investment program under funding from the State Small Business Credit Initiative of the American Rescue Plan Act. The program is committed to funding innovative and disruptive companies, particularly those in underserved areas or founded by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
Mr. Williamson was previously co-founder of and head of strategy for Pluribus Labs, a San Francisco-based investment management firm. He has also served as the chief investment officer of The American Red Cross and as chief investment officer and director, trust investments for BP America Inc.
Mr. Williamson held previous roles at Springfield Asset Management (president), Northern Continent (vice president, investment banking), F.P. Quinn and Co. (director, risk arbitrage), O’Connor and Associates (proprietary trading, strategic planning), and Peterson & Co. (consulting).
Mr. Williamson holds an MBA with honors from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Economics with honors from Northwestern University.
