The fifth of six roundtable discussion sessions focused on what a policy agenda for the innovation and tech-based economic development community could look like. Results from these sessions and the Town Hall on Thursday will help shape SSTI’s policy agenda for 2025 and beyond. As the setting for much of the country's STEM talent development and research activity, higher education institutions play a unique role in the broader tech-based economic development field. During this discussion, we'll consider where the federal government can be helpful, what we’ve learned about past approaches, what else we need, and what changes (if any) should be made in legislation, regulation and/or implementation.

This session supported with funding from SSTI’s Innovation Advocacy Council.
