This discussion session will focus on states that have robust strategies for incorporating SBIR into their regional economic development efforts. We will begin with the U.S. Small Business Administration sharing updates on FAST and the Growth Accelerator Fund Competition – programs commonly used by organizations to help increase SBIR activity -- and then we will split into facilitated small group conversations focused on helping regions consider what partners (state and national), services, and funding need to exist to support SBIR companies to not only win awards, but be best positioned for commercialization success.
